Worship is a higher form than merely prayer. So in the present watered down form of the Novus Ordo, the addition to readings of the bible is not worship, rather something on par with attending a lecture. Worshiping God has taken many forms in other societies, including animal sacrifice. But God is above all that, and the only true acceptable worship is the traditional mass (in Latin and other rites), where God the Son's sacrifice is commemorated. So comments like "the Novus Ordo appeals more to me than the traditional Mass" has only superficial meaning where worship (and not only prayer) is the central theme. The central point is God for the next hour and a half in the Mass, not us. The desire is there not to sin , but the willful occassion that we place ourselves into, saying we are in control, when we are not will always over come our desire not to sin no matter how determined we might be. It's simply a matter of time. When you know the answer and don't live the answer, what do you expect in return? It is apparently quite rare. He also touched on what I've seen more and more recently especially among strong Catholics close to Mary and who offer their sufferings and that is the obvious; how much the world right now needs the help of redemption from the souls willing and able to offer it back to Christ via Mary, united to the cross.
